This year the 15th edition of WEEC will focus on the issue of independence.
Formal and informal independence, political, economic, energetic independence, security and sovereignty, as well as separatist aspirations – these are issues that the World will need to tackle in the near future.
Today, 100 years after extremely turbulent period, question of independence seems to be extremely important and up-to-date. Participants of the 15th WEEC will jointly examine the history, present and possible future scenarios for Central and Eastern European countries, both in the regional as well as international context.
“Preserving and strengthening Poland’s independence and sovereignty, ensuring its security, prosperity and high position among other nations are key goals of Polish foreign policy,” Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz said during his today’s address at the Warsaw East European Conference 2018.
